King Crab legs and claws are flying out of the store this week! We have been emailed and asked how to cook these tasty beauties so here are the answers! The legs and claws can be served cold after thawing for 1 – 2 hours or gently warmed. There are 3 successful methods to warming the pre-cooked legs. Do not over cook since the meat may become rubbery.
- Broil – To broil legs, allow them to thaw in a refrigerator or cooler for 1 – 2 hours. Split legs with kitchen shears and brush with melted butter and seasonings if desired. Broil on high for 4-5 minutes.
2. Steam – Allow a large pot with 3 cups of water to heat to a rolling boil. Add thawed legs for 6 minutes. Serve with melted butter.
3. Bake – Place frozen legs on a baking sheet. Tent legs with heavy duty foil. Heat oven to 400 degrees and heat legs for 15 minutes. Serve with melted butter.
Remember Euclid Fish Company associates will be happy to break down the legs to more manageable sizes, just ask!
