- 2- 2 lbs Mussels
- 1/2 cup White Wine
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped (or shallots)
- Chopped flat leaf parsley
- Cracked black pepper and sea salt
At medium heat into a 4 -6 quart stock pot, add olive oil, garlic, black pepper and sea salt. Cook until garlic is soft. Add mussels and white wine. Put lid on mussels for 8 – 10 minutes or until the mussels begin to open. If some mussels do not open discard before serving. Serve immediately with bread!
This recipe can be altered by adding crushed tomatoes and capers with the mussels to add flavor and extra sauce!
