Euclid Fish on New Day Cleveland

It is always a blast at New Day Cleveland! For those of you who missed Chef Terrie on New Day Cleveland yesterday, or wanted to see a little more from the show, check out these pictures and recipes below. We have some great summer seafood alternatives, perfect for any occasion! Make these dishes at home for dinner or a party, or come in and have it made fresh at the EFC Market! Regardless, these are dishes you just can’t pass up.

SALMON BLT:

Mmm… nothing better than a freshly made BLT.. WITH SALMON! Yes, add salmon to your BLT’s. Our salmon BLT’s have become a huge hit in the retail market, along with our Mahi BLT’s as well. It’s simple, just grill the Salmon and Bacon, add fresh lettuce and tomato and a dill mayo on our fresh 9-Grain Bread.  If Salmon or Mahi is not your thing, we can make this sandwich with any fish you please!  Or, you can make this at home with the recipe below. It’s easy!
Ingredients:
-4-5 ounce piece of salmon
-2 sliced toasted nine grain bread
-2 tomato slices
-3 strips crisp bacon
-Chopped head lettuce
-Herbed mayo
Directions:
Mix together ½ cup Hellman’s mayonnaise, ½ teaspoon dried thyme, dill, and  parsley
Grill the salmon 4 minutes on each side on a hot grill.
When the salmon is done let it rest for 5 minutes before assembling the sandwich.
Spread the herb mayo on the toasted bread then add the lettuce, tomato and bacon top it all with the salmon.
ENJOY!

FRIED SOFT SHELL CRAB SANDWICH:

”They have legs!” Yes, Natalie, they do! And we thank you for trying our soft shell delicacies on the show!  These soft shell crabs were fried and placed on a fresh bun with a bistro sauce and baby arugula. That’s all you need!

FRIED OYSTER SLIDERS:

For those of you who cannot shoot down a raw oyster, why not start with a Fried Oyster Slider? These salty favorites were fried on the stove and placed on a fresh bun with a Black Garlic Mayo, made in house, and Fresh Arugula. These sliders are perfect for summer cookouts.

GRILLED GROUPER PRETZEL SANDWICH:

Nothing better than GRILLED GROUPER! The fresh grouper was grilled with a Mesquite BBQ rub and placed into a Pretzel Bun with a Roasted Red Pepper Puree and fresh Spring Mix lettuce.  Maybe Roasted Rep Pepper is not your thing? Substitute it with your preference, Grouper goes well with just about any flavor!

 

LOBSTER TACOS:

A new take on the traditional taco. The tacos on the show were simply made with fresh lobster meat, lemon juice, a tablespoon of mayo and some salt and pepper, that’s it! Instead of a lobster roll, we went with a lobster taco, why not? Be creative… add your favorite sauces, spreads and spices to create your own signature dish!

SEARED TUNA SANDWICH:

Turn your Tuna Steaks in a Sandwich! Seared Tuna was topped with Caramelized Onions mixed in a Sweet Chili Sauce, Tomatoes and fresh Spring Mix Salad. For proper cooking instructions, stop in our retail market and pick up some instructional cooking sheets or talk to an EFC Retail Employee!
